But before we talkie, let's coffee... Seriously though.
Recently I have been experimenting a little with NON-DAIRY Coffee Creamer possibilities... I love regular creamers - Hazelnut, French Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice, Creme Brulee.... But they don't like me!
First I came across a vegan recipe, that used cashews. At first I thought it sounded pretty good, because I love nutty flavors and thought it would be tasty-smasty. However, after the process was complete (which took me forever) it didn't have enough of a creamy texture for me. It tasted pretty good, but I wanted the CREAM taste, ya know?
So one day I was watching a video recipe for Non Dairy Ice Cream (I'm definitely trying it soon), and the ingredient they used for the fat base was brilliant! Coconut Milk! B-I-N-G-O!
Therefore, that is what has brought me here today, on this glorious Friday. I made myself some coffee this morning with Coconut Milk, Almond Milk, lil' splash of vanilla extract, and some sugar! And let me tell you, it is delicious! It's got the creamy, the sweet and some flavor - I am so happy with it!
Next, I'm going to try and create a fall flavor creamer using these base ingredients.... H'm.... Pumpkin Spice perhaps? Spice cake, Gingerbread... The possibilities are endless, because you can make it yourself!
So, if you are lactose intolerant and either don't use creamer, use the powder stuff (ewe, I can't do it) or just avoid it in general, I hope you try this out and enjoy it. Create your favorite flavor!
If you try a new flavor or have any other suggestions for yummy Non-Dairy Creamers let me know in the comments below!! Have a blessed day (:
