You & Me Forever

As a pastor wife, sometimes life gets pretty messy for me... And as life tends to do, it throws situations and decisions at you, that you don't always have time to mark your calendar for.

December 1-30th - Pretty much bankrupt
January 1 - Make a New Year's resolution to lose 20 lbs
January 14 - Realize how little motivation you have to lose that 20 lbs
February 14 - Realize your husband's gained 20 lbs - (Haha jk)
March 23 - Your husband gets really sick .... And the savings account has to be spent on medical expenses.

This book has changed my life forever.

The past couple years have honestly been a roller-coaster for me. I watched my husband go through a frightening & emotional experience. I felt completely helpless, because all I could do was pray. And while he was confident in God's abilities, the experience has revealed areas where he was using his ability - and not letting God have control. He still is dealing with some of these issues, but mostly has gotten better.

However, we've found the condition of our marriage in the aftermath - a mess. Insecurities, fears, defenses, self-seeking, independence, distance & more. This experience has caused us to NOTICE and DEPEND upon the love of OUR CREATOR. He knows us better than we know ourselves, and yet He loves us unconditionally. And therefore, we are to have that kind of love for one another.

I happened upon this book one day while at work. I'd been glancing at marriage books, that we could possibly read together, and this one stood out to me. I read it first just myself - seeing if it was something David would read. I found something I WASN'T looking for. But NEEDED. Just trust me on this.
